So I just picked up this little guy about 4 days ago. His mouth has been open for 4 days straight vomiting w/e he ate at the LFS. Anyone have any idea why hes rejecting the tank? Could it be placement? I even took a flat rock and put it at a 45 degree angle so he can feel it and put his foot there until he gets bigger.

That thing needs to be pulled and treated ASAP. It may be too late if you've left it struggling for that long but the longer you wait, the worse it will be.

From the look of the pics the tank looks brand new. That looks like dry rock. Im not going to say it cant be done, but you got your work cut out for you. Your tank should be stable for at least a few months. By stable I mean no cycles and you have your husbandry routine down.
Set up a hospital yank immediately! He needs anit-biotics. Cipro or something. Check out OrionN's Sticky thread on anemone treatment. Get it out of your main tank, into HT, or return to LFS.

You likely bought a sick anemone and unfortunately, immediate treatment was likely necessary if it was to have any chance of survival. Already too far gone IMO. The apparent lack of tank maturity likely didn't help matters either.

Tank has been setup for about 3 months now. Ammonia Nitrite Nitrate all unreadable. Every other thing in my tank is doing amazing. What do i need to get to treat him. Right now there are no fish in this tank and ive been trying to go slow. Here are some photos of everything else.

Welp, Went to move him out of the tank and he fell appart into 1000 pieces. I really liked him and never seen a purple one with yellow tips before.

As a few others have stated your tank is new. I know and see you have other things in the tank.

The issue is there is not a protective layer on the rock and the rock can be leaching off items that we can not measure for, as we measure the water at the top of the tank, compared to right on/off the rock.

Once it colors up, non-white, then it is showing a protective/productive layer. This layer actually works as the biological filter. Not only working on what is in the tank, but what is coming off the rock.

Most people say at least 6 months., This gives it time for the rock to season and beneficial bacteria able to handle almost anything to be built up.

Sorry about the anemone.

Please feel free to post away and ask questions. There have been many here that have been in your shoes before.

Be leary of impulse buying. Also QT anything and everything that you put in your tank. A bad item can wreck havoc on an entire tank.

Good luck!

So tell us about the tank.

I agree.. This tank is too new for anemones. There are still lots more biological changes this tank is going through and will continue to go through for the next several months. These changes don't show up on test kits either but impact things like anemones and other sensitive creatures.

Time to slow way down! After loosing that anemone, you are or will be luck to not loose other life in your tank. A dead anemone can and usually does wreak havoc on the tank.
