congrats! mine sprouted out a few heads just a week or so ago as well. I'm surprised that as young as my tank is, my corals are propagating as fast as they are..
Same thing on mine but I have a few heads sprouting. I guess since my tank is more SPS, the water quality is great, therefore they are popping up all over.
You can cut the head frog gently (can only cut in the skeleton) and set in a stone. In six months will be the size of a big mouth.
If you do not your mouth will die in six messes, due to lack of light.
My tank is 5 months old and I added a frogspawn about 3 months ago and same thing....I noticed 1 baby popping out about 3 weeks ago now there are at least 7-8 I'll post a picture when the light comes on tomorrow.
I doubt that corals regularly cut themselves... If you let the heads grow, it will slowly grow away from the colony until it gets enough light. Right now it is still getting energy from the mother colony. Don't worry about it and just let it grow!
