New black Clowns/what's best Tankmates?

Just got 2 gorgeous black/white stripes clowns...always wanted them but always just had one clown. They are the only inhabitants in a 35 hex in a corner right now. What are the best types of fishes/gobies to add to the tank? I know they can get aggressive once paired and I don't want problems so any help will be appreciated.

I don't know about an anemone...may in the future...never had one of those. The clowns seem very happy and acclimated wonderfully.

Nice score. In that size tank, you should probably stick with just one or two nano-friendly fish. I have 4 in my 30g. Misbar clown, neon blue goby, fridmani dottyback and a yasha haze/pistol pair. Some choices would be firefish, blennies, gobies, gramma, chalk bass, maybe a pygmy angel.

Thanks, SM....so funny...I have 4 Neon Gobies, a Yasha Haze that I am trying to get a red-band Pistol for, but he is going into a 20L with a Tangaroa that lost his pistol also. I love gobies to death. What are the differences in the firefish? I have seen 2....1 is much more expensive that the other and I wondered why. Also, I love the red-banded High fin Goby...it looks almost like a Dracula Goby except for price also. Am I missing something? Should I get something that swims more towards the top of the tank? It seems so tall...that's why I decided clowns...it has always been a terror to clean and work on.
Definitelly do NOT want Chromis or Damsels...like you said, maybe just a couple individual sweet-natured beasties.

A hexagon tank? Why? lol

+1

Since you have a hex, this is about all you can add. One or two more small fish. If you had a 35g cube or long, you can have much more.

I know...I hate it..had it for 10 years and it is too good to throw away...live in a prefab home...not that many places to put a tank that will stay stable, so kind of stuck with it. I love these black clowns though and don't mind just having them and a couple of other small fish. Hex's are hard to find space to hang everything even...lol , but we do with what we have. I have a 75 in my kitchen living on solar. How about that for a good laugh?
