Hello,

I picked up a new blue haddoni today :) dark blue and has a tight mouth...

It is the stickiest nem I've ever encountered! I've had a handful of gigs and one haddoni previously. This thing tops the cake though! It was sticking to the spatula and Tupperware bowl I used to transfer it! Lol

How to they harvest carpet nems in the wild??? I couldn't imagine trying to remove this nem from a rock structure in the wild! Especially without damaging it... think they use chemicals of some sort? Maybe that's why they arrive in such poor shape so often??? Just curious...

Wow! That anemone has great color. I would definitely name him Beast.

I have no idea really, I always envisioned divers with a hammer/chisel and just taking the rock (or whatever) out from underneath them and then they eventually let go.

More pics! Looks so cool. I am hoping my lfs has gotten my S. Haddoni in, its been 2 weeks so im crossing my fingers. Very cool, congrats

Man, I have got to spend more time on your side of the state. Do me a favor and PM me some of the stores over there that you think are the best options for finding anemones and rarer clowns.
Very nice dark blue too. I just picked up a lighter blue version myself.

The trick is to get under the foot and slowly work them loose. If not, you will tear the foot :( and the nem will usually die, most haddoni can be found in shallow water at low tide..
