New Blue Haddoni

Hi there,
I bought a healthy looking blue haddoni yesterday. Its kind of small, around 3" in diameter.
It attached its foot under a rock (not in the sand) and it was expended till an hour before lights come on

This is taken just after the lights turned on. After 1 hours its more expended and its mouth is less open. However, because of its placement its kind of folded.

In the evening the anemone looked so bad. It got very small and its mouth was so wide open with all the white things coming out that i thought it was dieing.

I couldnt take a picture in the evening but when the lights went off it looked better. This is the latest photo at night. About 24 hours after purchase.

I just got one also but mine got ate by a powerhead. I guess i learned my lesson.

Hopefully the open mouth it just due to it acclimating to your tank. Keep an eye on that.

Otherwise it is very nice looking, and you will be shocked at how fast they can grow. Think mine more then doubled in size in about 6 months before I cut back on the feedings.

Thanks for your good hopes. A couple hours ago it looked the worst of the last 36 hours, a huge open mouth. However now it looks the best of the last 36 hours; biggest in size and the mouth is almost totally closed. Its so interesting how his condition can change in a couple hours. I hope it stays this way.
