New brain coral really closed up

Hi everyone, I don't post very much, but on here all the time. Thanks in advance!

I bought a new brain coral today and it is really closed up to the point I can see the hard shell below it. Unfortunately when I was dipping him he dropped in the bucket and fell about 9 inches. Slipped out of my grasp.

I had him in the middle of the tank but with more research just move him to the side more to keep out of direct light and flow. My numbers still look good 78-79 degrees, 1.025 salinity and nitrates at 20. I had a current usa led and have it on low to ramp the corals up over the next few weeks

I added a torch, zoos and trumpets also. Torch and zoos are doing great and trumps are starting to come around but no luck on the brain.

Is this common for them to react this wayang just wait it out or do I need to help him out. Do you think the drop will be ok or do in need to inspect him for injury more closely?

Thanks again!

Sometimes the brains like trachs and lobos take a little while to settle in. The drop may have crushed some of its inner skeleton. The coral should be able to repair this damage if conditions are prime. From what I can see in the pic it looks ok. Sometimes trachs can be a little tricky. Just keep the flow and lightimg low and take it from there.

Thanks for the response, I will let him settle in and see if he starts to respond in a few days.

Thanks again,
PS
