New BTA..Healthy?

:) T.
I laugh when I read that clowns are feeding there anemones. They are just storing it for later only to find it gone, geeee wonder where it went.;)

just incase someone in this line is still interested, two of my three BTA's ate the forumla one cubes, one did not. i will try other food types for sure. and there is no question re feeding now.

but please humor me....a clown storing food in an anenome? really? or were you kidding? wouldn't the anenome eat it? or drop it if it wasn't interested in it as food?

My LTA LOVES Formula One. The Clarkii are more than happy to deliver the package most times.

They will also take pieces of shrimp to the anemone but he rarely eats them unless it's been 3 or 4 days between feedings.

I usually feed 2 Formula One cubes at a time every 2-3 days.

Split the cube into or4 pieces for the anemone who wouldn't eat the whole thing.

I think they meant the reason the clown brings the food back to the anemone is an ATTEMPT to store it but the anemone subsequently eats it. That said, I'm not sure I buy it. I've seen my fish stash food in Xenia also but I've never seen them go back and eat any.

i have a cluster of 3 fairly large bta's with a tomato clown. it's a 30 gal tank pc's 2x 96 watts orbit/current.

the shop i bought from said with a clown i don't really need to feed the bta.

seems well enough now. what and how often do you feed?
you lucky *****. I could never get and anemones to survive in my 30.

I figured i needed a bigger tank but this proves i was wrong. I have no clue why i can keep an anemone. it is driving me crazy. al my lvls ar great. the only thing that was a little high was ph and that was only recently. that has since come down.
