Hi ,

I bought a green tipped anemone last weekend (saturday) I acclimatsed it all corectly as soon as i put it in the tank in the middle it stuck to a rock and my largest marron clown was in it. A few hours later it moved to the top of the rocks and started heading to the back of the tank, i thought i would leave it for a week to see how it gets on but on tuesday it seemed to split of what i can see but i cnt see because rocks are in the way. Now both my clowns are hosting in both anemones. The biggest one looks healthy and still has it green tinge. But i'm worried about the other one. I can'feed it because i can't reach down there.

I don't want to stress it self out further because its only been in there for 7days.

My lighting I have 4 x T5 bulbs.

My water lvls are below:

PH: 8.2
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 10ppm
SG: 1.024

Should i be worried ?

It's not uncommon for a BTA to split after being placed into a new tank. I like to keep my salinity at 1.026 for BTA's, also, your Nitrates should be at zero. You should do water changes until that comes down. Typically you don't feed BTA's for about a week after a split. It will probably come out when it's healed, and when it gets hungry. As long as the BTA is not loosing color and turning white, and doesn't have short stubby tenticles or a gaping mouth, I wouldn't be too concerned after 7 days.

How long has your tank been up and running? How big is the tank? How much flow do you have in it? Do you have any pics?
