New BTA question

Hello,
I bought a BTA yesterday, he's in my QT - is it normal for them to delate and inflate again several times at the begging? One minute he looks great and the next he's all shriveled up and looks sickly.
Thanks

How old is the tank? Typically they will deflate some when pooping.......what are the parameters? Flow? Lighting?

It is not normal for anemone to deflates. New to a tank likely cause your anemone to do this. Hope he will stop deflates after a day or two. If it continue to deflates after several days, then it likely not going to make it.
If you don't have other anemone then quarantine is not needed. In general, BTA is hardy and I don't quarantine this species.

My QT tank is just a 10 gallon kit I bought at walmart The lights are the standard lights that came with the tank, the only flow I have is from the HOB filter and an air bubbler. My water parameters are all where they should be, when I do a water change to my DT I use that water as the WC to my QT. I have a rock flower anemone in QT as well, no others in my display tank. So could I put them in my DT now? I put the BTA in QT in hopes it would host my maroon clownfish that I have in there.

I would just put it in where you finally will put it. BTA does not need a lot of flow, but it does need flow. It look like your QT does not have enough flow or light for it. I put it in your DT right away

I will put him in my DT right now but wont he settle where HE wants to - not necessary where I want him to?

BTA is one of the most difficult anemone to place. For me, I can place almost any anemone other than BTA and they will stay pt. BTA like not too bright light and not too much current, on the rock with foot in a crevice or underside of a rock. When they move, their foot will hyper inflates the direction where they want to move. You just have to move all the coral out of the way when you see this. They will choose their place and you will just have to adjust your tank accordingly.

My RBTA settled in on the top of our LR and hasnt moved, he split about 2 months after adding him si im guessing the light and flow is just how he likes it.
