Just added a nem to my tank. And be dammed he went and hid lol.

This is first time keeping one . In 75g with 30 sump half full. Looking for insite to make sure I care for it correctly.

I would ask for a picture... but it hid.

They do that in new tanks. Hid, make sure noting else is going to snatch it up and put it in a bag. Then slowly come out and see how the light and food is.

Boy it was pertty lol about 4inchs when fully open mabey 5 .manly got him for my clowns to try out cus its cool looking.
I know a little for basic care I tried a pink tips last year when I first setup and it died lost every thing due to it so I learned they are not for new tanks and need stable levels . (Plus I learned it was in poor health when I got him and didnt know cus that lfs sucks never go there again.)

3 t5ho 1 atinctic, 1 blue plus, 1 12k(neew 120 led setup coming sone when its off back order from reefbreeders.com the photon 48.)
I have a 750gph aqueon circulation power head, sea clear brand return pump 350gph from refugium sump and 130 vertex skimmer

Set up is 75gal with 30g sump half full for water level.

Live stock is (keep in kind al live stock is babys. Around 1-2 inchs , when they get to big will relocate)

Then a small cuc.(few hermits, Cleaner shrimp, pompom crab, saome snails

The nem is out clown pair love it. they look like there doing something mouth to mouth between the female and nem.

well now i have 2 bubble tip nems. i was wondering how he was moving around so much then i found both today.

on a 2nd note. i heard this is good but can to as well be bad. i have heard that nems can split from stress???

Yes and acclimation is a huge stress. They do not know if there is going to be another trip in a bag and darkness. So to preserve the species it will split and hope that one makes it.

Ok so it should most likely be cool. Right now I messed up lol. Meaning a week befor I got him I swaped tanks and rinsed the sand clean only in the display tank the refugium is still good. My duncan coral doesnt seem as good as it was doing better now though after water change

But since that trying to get my water levels back to par just did a 30% water change went from levels prior being

(My levels used to be 0 and like 10max on nitrates )

So I havent seen the 2nd half of the nem in a day or so, is this any concerns with that or should I asoom the 1st half is doing well I shouldnt worry bout the other that it should be doing well ? I think the clowns now where it is cus they hide in a cave where I cant see so I bet its in there. I dont want it to die and I dont want it to fowl up my water even more.

2nd note will I have a issue with the 2 halfs in my 75 will they fight or some how merge back together? Or since there split clones they wont brother one another ?
