Started working on a 90 gallon corner overflow build about a month ago. Custom cabinet to have aquarium serve a room divider. Just got the stand to the house and the tank setup on it. Here are some pictures...

Nice wood work. Looks great. Have you used the leds before. Thinking of going that route but have not seen SPS growth patterns with them.

I have used leds before, but they were 1st gen 1w style. I just ordered my second one of these. The are 3w Bridgelux leds 53 lights per fixture with 120w total output. There are probably a few sps species that don't do as well, but the trade off for power consuption and minimizing heat in the system is amazing.

Oh yeah, the other thing about the LED's are the controllers. The fixtures I have only have one cord and have built in timers for all the lights. There is a really long thread on here about Chinese LED's. That what I went with after I found a seller on Amazon.

Got a Mag12 return pum for $80 and another 55 gallon tank for $40 off of craig's list. Also got some glass cut at a local glass company for cheap and some silicone from the LFS. Ready to make my sump tonight!! Have been debating on setups, but I think I am going with the return pump in the middle compartment with the refugium on the end... Any other suggestions??

Damn...nice setup so far

Thanks! This is the first custom build I have ever done. I had a 55 gal freshwater and a 30 gal cube saltwater several years back in college. Last year for my birthday my wife went and got my tanks and my equipment out of storage and a gift card to the LFS. I'm not sure she knew what she was getting into... But any input along the way is always appreciated

Update: Sump complete and Skimmer in

Update: Sump complete and Skimmer in

UPS dropped off my skimmer today and siliconed all the baffles in the sump last night. Also got my RO/DI unit up and running.

Wow! Nice work! What is under that setup? The basement? Were you concerned about the weight on that part of the floor?

Got lots of work done the last two evenings...

Plumbing is done

And here are a couple finished shots of the stand and cabinet. I also blacked out the back and the exposed side of the overflow

Water test went off without a hitch. Mixed the salt into my return chamber and got my salinity in range. Got my rock yesterday. I love Craig's list! got about 150 lbs of rock for $120.

Wow very nice build so far. For cycling i would use raw ammonia or so people use raw shrimp. Also is that your final aquascape?
