So despite using this site regularly since i started this hobby in 2003, I have never fully documented any of my 10+ different tanks over the years. I will try and keep this page updated.
Purchased a used full setup, sold a few items and purchased a few new, so here is what I am starting with:
22 gallon All in one PicO Aquariums nano tank. 3 sides starfire glass. About 18x18x16.
Tunze 9004 skimmer
Tunze osomulator
Ecotech MP10- quiet drive upgrade in the mail
AI Prime
RKL for heater control.
The plan is a few select fish, some softies near the sand, and a few nice SPS near the top. We will see how it develops, and I am not tied to any coral choices yet. Haven't had an SPS tank in about 5 years, and never in a nano, so we will see.
Fish will likely be a nicer pair of clowns, and either a jawfish or goby/shrimp pair. Depending on how this goes, maybe also a nice firefish or small wrasse.
This weekend I added some live rock from Pet Kona and from another reefer and the sand which is a mix of sugar sized, reef grade, and up to crushed coral sized to allow for better burrowing, again some live sand from a reefer, and some new. Still need a little more rock which I will pick up this week.
Right now, I am just dialing in the coloring for the lights, the temperature, skimmer and the ATO, and just learning the tank.
Pics to come. Other than that, this thread will probably be quiet while I let the tank level out for the next month, and ensure all the rock is cured.
