I picked up a new tank so I thought if start a build thread

Here it is tank is 140g 57x24x24 set up as a peninsula
Stand wasn't finished so Iv spent some time finishing it up
Stand



As for sump it came with a 30g no baffles original owner used a asm g3 direct feed to it and then back up...I think I might add a baffle for a turf scrubber and add a second skimmer since I have a g3 and g2 what's your thoughts on running two skimmers?

Finally got around to plumbing the tank

Maybe I'm seeing things, but is that a check valve on the larger drain?

Looks like a union

union on the small, but looks like the back side of a ball on the larger one.

1.25 drain has a ball valve on it, I'm going to switch out to a gatevalve in the near future. Have a family party coming up on the 31st so had to get it up and running since my temp tank is in a bad spot for furniture. Union is on the 1in emergency drain.
Also need to add supports to plumbing to make it sid as reduce chance of physics breaking the bottom pane

Yeah benefits of two sides to access the tank. I'm just a little two narrow for my 29g top off tank to fit next to the sump. Need to fined and alternative as I only have 11.75 in of room

Thanks dre, if it would hurry up and finish cycling so I can get it all moved over and then start adding livestock again

Tank cycles thanks to turbo start
Everything is moved over and fully open
Fish are happy with all the room now
