New Camera Suggestions Please

Hey guys,
I was hoping to get a suggestion on a new camera purchase. I am looking for a simple point and shoot and am willing to spend $3-350.00. Im leaning towards the CanonD750, ive read some good reviews on it but i am open to something new. Thanks in advance.

What are you planning to take pictures of? P&S cameras are OK for some things and very hard (or impossible) for others. Personally, I would go for something in the G series, but thats just me. The Canon XT and Xti prices are going to do a nose dive some September 20th when Canon releases the MKIII and the 40D. The XT will probably be in that price range if not a little cheaper.

And I use Adorama, B&H and 17th Street as my vendors and sometimes Sigma4less for good deals on lenses.
