New Carpet (not an anemone)

I want to get new carpet in my house. Problem is my 125g reef is in one of the rooms that needs new carpet. It's been setup for around 4 years. I'd hate to break it all down but I don't really know what else I could do. Even if I drain the entire thing the wet sand would be heavy to move.

Any suggestions?

Buy some "furniture sliders" or whatever they are called at wally world drain the tank most of the way down, get a buddy to help you lift the tank and stand on one end (you only need to lift it up about an inch) and place a couple of sliders under each end of the tank and slide it where you need to go. I have used this method many times w/ great results.

How far do you think I will need to drain it? I imagine I'll have to remove all the corals & fish and drain most all the water into a few big trash cans. Maybe I can leave most the rock in place and use a pry bar to lift the tank?

Maybe if I do hardwood I could leave carpet under it for now and save some wood to put under it when I move it (years later)

I'm just trying to get ideas.
