Or this guy. Same day, different part of the reef.

(Damn some folks I was with saw a couple big maximas - if missed them.)

Great pics, both of you. pkolenda-that last pic made my heart skip a beat.I'm going to have to take time to learn about editing-resizing pics.
pkolenda-I don't have a problem with people sharing their own personal expierence(in fact, that is the reason for the boards),but too often I see posts with a lot of misinformation, that was gathered from even more misinformation, and then expounded as truth without any "hands-on" experience.

Rothie,

Thanks for the photo compliment. The only thing I did with those pictures was shrink them so they would work with this board. No other editing. I just got up close to the clam with my Olympus camera (in an Ikelite housing) and snapped it. I might not have even used the strobe on that one. I took a couple others of clowns on an anemonie the size of my diningroom table. The only bad part was the damn clown kept biting my camera. Pretty funny.

Here is a couply more from my trip to Fiji. The last two I played with the colors for effect. The others I did not do much except aljust the contrast. These are from the Somosomo Straight off of Taveuni in Fiji.

A little artistic license on this one also.

Kinda looks like something from outer space.

pkolenda-
I reread my last post about photo editing. It was not to imply that you were "photoshopping" your pics.I was only referring to my own inability to figure out how to resize pics to get them on this sight. It's on my list of things to do,but I just can't seem to make time to play with the software.

smy168 - why do you (and others) keep your clams on the sand?
QUOTE]

I find that they move less in the sandbed, I've tried in the past to put them up in the rockwork, but they jump right off, plus, I've always had good experience keeping them on sand, never had a problem so you stick with what you know works.

Rothie, no worries. I did not take it that way. I was just clarifing the photo details. Lord know I certainly photoshop things. Check out the program ACDSee. Very easy to use program and robust catalog features. Takes 2 seconds to shrink something.
