Absolutely gorgeous.....Thanks for the update. I can't wait to see pics once you get the group order done.

How did you manage to keep the front panels dry for this shot?

Looks good, hows your evaporation rate? Hows the noise level from the water falling down the sides?

Great tank!! I really like the idea...thanks for sharing the pics.

Did you get the lights rigged up? If so, how?

ok here's an update... pics will follow.

the front panel is dry. i set the tank a tad bit higher in the front to keep the front dry for viewing.

on the evap and noise.

evap. rate is about 2.5 gall. total for clam, sup/fug., and 60 gall main display tank. not bad at all i think. the noise is very minimal. it's not as loud as my 3 mag drive pumps. to be honest its very plesant.

I like it, esspecially the whole over flow aspect. But if i were you i would sand down the back so the water flows off the back and doesnt obstruct the view. It is sick

thanks melev.

i feed the sun's cyclopeeze(sp). and the tang doesn't go after that stuff. on the window. i'm look'n at building one. not time at the moment. i'm work'n on a new CA reactor at the moment. but will build one soon.

more clams to come. these are just the crocea's.. i haven't got the ultra Maxima's yet ..

This is a really neat tank. I've been thinking about something similar.

But I was thinking that it would be fed by tee'ing off some of my main tanks overflow. So the clam tank is between the overflow and the sump.

Anyway, I love what you've done here. Just thought I'd point out another plumbing option without check valves.

thanks. it might work. but your main tank would have to be pretty high to get enough gravity to flow the water to the clam tank.

but it is an idea.
