Just got my first maxima (1") i have placed it in a bowl in the dark and am slowly driping water in.How long should i keep it the dark and eny other tips would help. Thanks

just to be warned the mortality rate in small maxima's ( less than 2 - 3" ) is quite high.

i would drip him to match your current tanks parameters. make sure to give him a real good inspection, looking for pyramid snails or anything else out of place.

i QT for a week and continue with inspections, you may not have the lights or equipment to do this.

then depending on the lights in your tank and what he is used to, maybe acclimatize to the light..

no QT tank,but water fine and lights halides and T5s just see how it goes. Cant spot any snails

depending on what lights he was under at the LFS he should be fine.
