Hello NM Reefers! I just got a new clam on Friday and thought that I would share some photos of it. This is the best I can get since the clam has not gotten used to the family walking near the tank. These pictures were taken with the flash and the color of the clam is very close to what it is in person without the flash it looks like the clam is under actinics only. Let me know what you guys think.

good looking Crocea. Hope it does well in your tank. Fyi they like to be in the rock work as opposed to the sand. It burrows into rock work by secreting an acid and disolving the rock. It then uses it ridges to dig into the rock.

Thanks for the advice. But I did place a cupped rock under it so it can attach to that, so if I rearrange my rocks for whatever reason I wont be limited in my rock scape.

Looks real nice, Israel, hope to hear good things about your tank. I am still too chicken to try out a clam...consider yourself a guinea pig. That sounds wrong, but I'm not changing it!!!!

I guess I will be your guinea pig... but when you finally decide to try it out dont fret if it dies you can always have clam chowder...;)
