New clams on direct

Alright its acclimating now. Will have pictures up this afternoon

Can't wait 2 see them they are so much nicer in person. belive me I have baught 3 or so from clams direct.

Well I have pictures going up in a few minutes, they all look great except for the green maxima, I think his siphon may be gaping.

Any ideas?

My mostly black one didn't make it through shipping.:sad2: Others are doing great with better color then on the site. I just can't get them to show up well in pictures so I can post them.

Okay before I post these other pictures, I want to say that so far the service from Barry was top notch. He called to check in, the only problem is he called so soon that the clams weren't fully open yet.

Anyways, the service was TOP NOTCH!


But here is the clam let me know what you think.

When I spoke with Sherry at clamsdirect ( email actually ), she said that gaping at first was normal during acclimation. One of mine did that too but is fine this morning already.

Oh very good to know, I'm glad to hear that. He otherwise seems fine. I turned him over and looked at him, there was some polyp near his foot, perhaps a nuisance anenome, I removed it. We will see how he does the next couple days I guess.

Yes. I had a few aptasia (sp) too to remove. They look great though. I'll post some pics if I can adjust the color to remove all the blue.

The gaping could last up 3 days if it's still gaping after that then you may have a problem. Hey cheekymonkey give me a call about the clams.
