New Clarkis changing color

I purchased two tank-bred Clarki Clowns one week ago, 1" and 2" each. They were yellow when I purchased them. One was being hosted by a small Sebae anemone in the store.

The larger one that was in the anemone at the store is in my Haddoni now. It took her and hour to find it and dive in.

They are both darker now in only one week. The larger clown is a light/medium brown color now and even the little one, who is not allowed in the anemone, is a light yellowish brown.

I am wondering if the color change is due to the anemone, a better diet, better water quality or all of the above. I thought it was interesting that the smaller fish has darkened as well since he's not allowed in the anemone.

They darken as they mature, some more than others. It's just part of growing up. This is one of the bad things about clarkii's. You never know what they're going to look like as adults.

This one was yellow in her younger days.

I know they darken but I was surprised that it happened in one weeks time. They look so much nicer now. Yours is beautiful.
