new clown introduction into an established female tank

I currently have a very large Maroon clown in a 60 gal tank. Shes the only fish in the tank. If I wanted to introduce a male into the tank would I have to just get a very small non-sexed clown and see what happens?

Very small male.I would be ready to buy a few more or separate them till they can get along!

put the male in the tank in a container with holes in it, it will allow the female to get used to him before she kills him

Get a breeder net for the new male to swim in till momma gets used to him.
