OK I got a new false purc to replace the two I lost. I am a little nervous he is doing much better then the first pair but has not eatin yet. It has only been about 20hours that he has been in the tank how long should it take to get him to eat. I did sea him eat in the lfs He looks good and is swimming around. The water tests just right temp is 78 foods i tried are flakes, black warms, brine shrimp(frozen), krill.

Leave the lights off in the tank and the room for 24 hours. Try not to walk past the tank or have a TV on near by. This is why I have my q-tank in the wetroom, where there are few distractions. He is stressed. Slowly get him into your daily routine. I don't even try feeding new arrivals until the second full day. Even then, sometimes it takes 3-5 days for them to start eating. Both the tangs I introduced went nearly a week and had to be warmed up on Nori soaked in garlic... After a week of this, they began taking flake and frozen.

Good Luck.

I have a mated pair of true percs now but I used to have false percs in my tank. Its completly fine. Mine didnt eat until 3dayz! If you have a tong (grabbey thingy <) put some squid or mayasin shrimp on there and hold it up to them. They may bite at it or not. It depends on how you feed them. If you sprinkle the flake on top, get a bowl and dip some water from the tank, put the food in, and pour it in. I suggest giving them a variety every night like squid and shrimp and ect. Thread back if it works.

Um... I wouldn't go sticking a "tong (grabbey thingy <) " in there just yet:) I'm sure reeferzXonly is trying to help, but as I stated above, the fish is stressed. Why stress him more by freaking the *$#! out of him. Give him some time to adjust.

BTW...

clownfish26 and reeferzXonly,

ok i am new to salt water and need a little more detail about the food i have never heard of some of the suggestions also a good place to buy the food would help.

Did you ask the LFS store what they were feeding? That might be a good place to start. As far as the names and kinds of foods, check the on-line vendors like Dr. Foster and Smith or Marine Depot and cruise their foods sections. You'll see what all is out there...
