New clown pairing

I got a snowflake clown nearly 2 weeks ago....just one...and now realize I would like another for it to pair with...is there anyway that I could still make this happen, and would it have to be another snowflake clown, or would it not make a difference what the specific clown type is, no nems in the tank currently, only have one other fish in the tank...a yellowtail damsel

Okay, does it have to be a snowflake clown or can it be another species?

It does not have to be a snowflake but like flyfisher said keep it in the family. Many people have had success mixing where do you think designer clowns come from?

I am in the process of pairing my existing resident 1" ocellaris, and 1.5" new resident black and white snowflake. The new one is still in the isolation net box for 3 days now. I am thinking maybe I can wait before releasing him.

Well, not exactly, while there are some that came from mixing certain species originally they came from the wild as misbars or abnormal patterns that naturally occurred.
It's pretty easy to pair up occs and percs, and some do that, some people don't like the mix of the two species, but either way just make sure to get one smaller and intro in a breeder box or similar to be safe.

so I couldn't wait longer :P and released the bigger one (snowflake black and white), and they look like they paired up already now. They swim together and slept together on the same corner :) so exciting watching them!

Alright davocean, I'm going to pick up a clown I've been watching at my LFS tonight, thanks for the advice!

Looking good man, do they pay any attention to your nem on the glass there?

It is actually a blue torch, and not a anemone.

I am picking up an RBTA tonight though.

I am thinking of relocating the torch, hammer, and frogs pawn and cover them with a breeding box before adding the anemone and wait until the anemone settled.
