New Clown Tang help

Bought a clown tang yesterday.
Drip acclimated for 5 hours. Put in the tank with the lights off through the night. I saw him in morning. He was being very aggressive towards my silver scat (no surprise) but after looking at him for 10 minutes he had some troubling signs. He has what looks almost to be raw skin on his right midsection and on both sides by his tail. I cant tell if this is from squeezing through tight spaces, a fight with my other fish, or a developing sickness. Im setting up a hospital tank, but i don't know what the right course of action is. I feel that he is nearly uncatchable and trying to catch him would be too very very stressful on the new guy. If I do set up a hospital tank what medications should I use?
Tank parameters are all on par. No NH3, NO2, NO3.
SG: 1.021
Temp: 78 F

doing some research elsewhere i found this picture. He is no where near as bad but it looks similar. What should I do?

Added a powerhead for water flow, an air pump+stone for oxygen, and treating with melafix for the abrasion/ sore looking marks. Any other ideas/ thoughts on this?

They are hard to keep, from my experience. Try to put a lot of stuff for him to hid in, in the qt. He dont need to get anymore stressed out.

Thank you for the reply. I will make sure he has plenty of space to hide.
