New clowns in QT

So I have my first 2 fish!
A pair of snowflake clowns!
They have been in QT since 12/29 in a 15 gallon container with sponge filter and heater. I've been using prime to control ammonia and after adding prime this morning the ammonia level 5 hours later is .025 - .50 ppm
How often can I use the prime and at what point is the ammonia level going to warrant a water change?

Nice clowns Ab129. First of all are you trying to acclimate them into your main tank? I don't use my prime to control ammonia levels i'd suggest just doing 10 percent water changes once a week though I don't know what else is in the QT.

Yes they will be going into my main tank in a few weeks.
Started off the QT with water from my main tank.
Right now there is no one else in QT but I plan to add a pair of black and white clowns in the next week or so.

Weekly, or semi-weekly water change at 10-15 percent is all you need.
Feed, but sparingly and try to suck up what they don't eat....forget the chemicals...

Main tank is 75 gal. I am hoping the two sets will pair up and live peacefully.
And I am trying to feed sparingly. They seem to be eating pretty much everything.
What I really want to know is how much ammonia in there is too much - where I have to make a water change.
