new clown's mouth looks like largemouth bass?

I've had a clown for 1 week, and after about 2 days its mouth keeps getting bigger and bigger, looks like a largemouth bass getting ready to swallow a spinnerbait. Or like he has lock jaw. Everything else about him seems fine, he's been hosting in xenia. He's the only fish in the tank, didn't qt him, but setting one up for several reasons.

Any idea what this is and anything I can do? I seen a tang at the LFS like this once, but didnt' ask about it

I once had a female tomato clown that had this problem and it went away after a week. Although, your clown might have something different.
