It is sad to think that Chris is moving on, I have seen all the different chalice in Chris's store for a while andI have never been a fan of the Chalice and after placing them in my tank. I realy like the way it looks.
I might have to go and buy the rest, so if you are interested the you best go before I pick them up.

Michael it's all your fault. I hope that they do well.

The camera I used my wifes Kodak, not sure on the model. Point and shoot. I like it a lot.

Well I think that grape was $69 and the Alien Eye was a little bit more than that. The reason why I say think is because I bought a few things and had a total, so individual price was not a factor. Chris still has the mother colony of the grape watermellon and a lot more frags which looks great so get then while you can. Sorry I think that I bought the last Alien Eye.
I am going to let the coral be for a week or two and then trim the skirt.
I will say one thing, if you like zoa's and pally's, Chris has some great frags. I bought Devils Armor, all I can say is WOW a must for your tank.

Yeah I got one of the alien eye disks from him a while back. Its doing great and grows fairly quickly. Mine has shifted to a lighter purple. I thikn I have too much light on it.

VERY nice pickups! i was never into them either until i saw them at the store last year. glad you picked up that alien eye colony. i'm assuming the other colonies were a bit more expensive, right?

i have a frag of the alien eye also, and mine also faded to a light purple. keep them out of direct MH light or they will fade. also, in order to get them to color up really nicely like chris's......i think the key is having those mix of actinic T5's (both the purple and blue bulbs).

Al ~ as always you are the man!!!!!! I'm going to try and add a bit more actini and some fiji purple bulbs. Maybe that will help out. I'll definately move it further under the overhang that it is near until i move to the bigger tank this weekend. I'm just glad to hear that I'm not the only one that had the lightening. I know it's healthy because it has grown ever since it has been in the tank. I'll be there Saturday if you happen to head this way. I like that purple watermelon chalice too!!

No, not realy. Wanted to get the rest. If they are there much longer I will get them.

I've been waiting for Chris to frag the alien eye chalice. I would like to be your first ( or second or third) customer when you frag it. I was at UA today to pick up a calcium reactor and a controller that Chris ordered for me. I came home with 10 corals (mostly small frags) and the orange linkia from his display tank.

I got devil's armor, blue, and nuclear grean zoos; red acans;
purple (grape?) watermelon chalice; pink mili; pink/orange ricordea; orange fungia; red blasto; and tricolor acro (purple tips and green polyps). I've gotten kind of overrun with green in my tank between zoos, frogspawn, monti digi, stag, 2 different hydnos (thanks Jorge), bubble, ricordia, and a couple more sps. I'm now officially in the hunt for "other than green" as you can tell from my UA list today.

I'll be trying to figure out how to assemble the calcium reactor and program/operate the controller for a while. Maybe the calcium reactor will have me generating frags soon.
