New critters

Since my clowns are in qt I decided to add some dry rock and let the rock cycle during the 72 day fallow period. Dry rock has been in for about 3 weeks now and just noticed some critters roaming around. Can anyone identify these little guys and tell me if i should be worried.

So from the link it looks like I have Amphipod-Gammarid, ALso discovered one Aquilonastra sp.

How would these things be living on dryrock? I have never seen them in my tank until I bought the dry-rock and starting cycling it in my DT.

I wouldn't worry. The vast majority of critters are beneficial. Don't let the negative hype about hitchhikers get you worried.

Yea, I saw that the other day. Should I be worried about these critters? I do not have any corals in my tanks. just dry rock, snails, 3 hermits, a starfish, and a condy. Clowns have 2 weeks left in QT before they can go back in DT.

Amphipods and Asterina starfish are harmless/beneficial creatures..
You can however get to a point where you have thousands of Asterina starfish..
But in general they are just a beneficial creature..

My dad wanted a few of my Asterinas, so I happily gave him 5 of them. 6 months later, I'm sure he has a good 100-150 in there.

Rabbits of the sea.
