Croceas do tend to gape more then others.it could just be that the clam is having a little trouble adjusting to the new water and lighting of it new home.is it doing any better?

well he has detached from shell and is a Goner i think....i will check again later today.
I don't understand what couyld have made him go that quick?!?

Sounds like the clam may have been on the way out before you got him. Was he a LFS purchase? Did you mail order the clam? The clam could have been too stressed from shipping and could not recover.

he was a LFS purchase(10 minute drive)
He looked good in LFS and was very active when light was shaded.
I took a close look at rest of the tank to see if any other coral or fish was struggling........Everything is Great!!!!
AND i noticed that one of my ricordea has just split!!!!!!
So maybe it was on way out?

Maybe he was just not meant to be your reefer buddy! If everything looks great (parameters) and you went through a carefull acclimation (which you did) I would say he was on his way out. Especially if he started dying that quickly. Is he dead yet or is he alive, but not looking good still?
