I just brought home and acclimated my new clam. I reasearced this guy for a while, but wanted some personal advice. I have 250 watt 10,000 HQI and i have the clam on the sand. The tanks 36 inches deep. Do you guys think thats too low or should i move him up in the rocks? thanks

welcome- if your clam is already attached to a small base rock or something similar, you could gradually move it up, if necessary- but if it is open and extended, and shows no adverse reaction, i'd say you have good enough light as is- good luck-

croceas live up in the reef in the wild, and require the most light of all the clams,36" is find of deep for croceas even with 250w,10k HQI's. i would say slowly move it up into the rockwork to about mid tank
