[Reefer Maddness]

Just got my first clam. I have a standard 90gallon with 2 250w HQI (14.5k) and 2 54w t5 (actinic). I have the clam on the bottom of the tank facing almost straight up. My tank has a lot of flow which sometimes causes the mantle to move a bit and can create a little debris in the water. Is that going to be an issue? I also noticed that the mantle has a spot on the outside of the mantle that is pale. It was not there in the store, I think it got a little damaged when the guy put it in the bag(should have said something but didnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t.) Is that going to be an issue? If the tissue issue is going to resolve its self how long will it take? I notice some dust clumps on the mantle(see flow issue.) Should I gently remove them with a baster? Thanks for your help.

if you plan on moving it up in to the rocks in time I don't think the flow will be a problem just find a spot that's a little calmer. the spot is hard to say,I guess time will tell

Are clams bothered by zoos or shrooms? Do they suffer from aggressive coral neighbors?

they can be stung.some clams seem to tolerate it more then others
