If you never want to worry about an anemone walking around into a power head go with a CL and put a foam filter over the intake, maybe 2 outlets along the back wall would be nice. If you do a ritteri you could just make the LR a center island and make the flow on both sides of the ritteri. I had a cube tank I build just for a ritteri and that is what I did for flow. Never moved because it was high up and had flow all around it. Hope this helps...

Yeah sounds great using streams but i thought of that but it a bit like sticking a food blender in the aquarium.
Closed loops sound just like the thing I would go with, Thought about useing a Deltec hlp 4040 intervall pump what do you think, were abouts would you place intakes and returns for closed loops and sump

Deletc hlp is about 930 u.k gallons on full chat, with the ehiem return pump for sump which is about 530 u.k gallons

Good point what would you do, I thought the side as if it was the middle it would encourage anemone to move, also i Could swap the Eheim for its bigger brother rated at 750 gph, the skimmer will be gravity feed, Have you a copy of THE REEF AQUARIUM volume 1 if so page 231 top drawing, Or could change to a cube
please give me yout thoughts Ayanami

Thank you

I really like Iwaki pumps... ok This is a tank kinda like the one i am describing it's 36x24x24h

Pic of the 2 returns, These are just sump returns but, it is perfect placement for 2 CL returns if you do a ritteri in the middle and then just have a CL inlet somewhere halfway down in the tank.

In the past I've used Iwaki MD40RLXT's @1,400gph. I'm not filling up that tank for another month or so, when I do though It's gonna be a low flow tank. I'm in the middle of moving a 120g tank over to my new place atm so no time to mess with my new tank.

What kind of carpet?
H. magnifica have specific requirement that is very different from S. haddoni carpet. You got to decide what kind of anemone first. The research on it requirement, then you know what to build.
Haddoni carpet require a sand bed, not to demanding on flow, and need high light.
Ritteri or H. magnifica require very high alternating flow, very high light and need to be on the rock. No sand bed needed. As you can see, there is no one system that is ideal for both.

Good luck with the move, any other ideas post them up, like what light will you use, skimmer, etc, would like to keep in touch I`ll forward my email if you wish

Will you be able to use existing water and live rock or will it be a new set up and have to mature for those 6-8 months?

Would be nice if you could use existing stuff and not have to wait.
