Hi Roger,
I was curious if you could make a recommendation on a DOC skimmer for my 180g tank. Its a primarily soft coral tank with a few lps...no sps at all. Fish stock will be on the high size. I currently have a yellow tang, orange shoulder tang, porcupine puffer, melanurus wrasse, diadema dottyback, clownfish, bangaii cardinal, and a yellow watchman goby. Im planning on adding a couple more small fish but bascially, I have all the fish I want.
Im wondering if the 9010 would fit the bill. Id like to have a remote waste collector...I actually have one from my MRC skimmer. Would I have to purchase the additional kit for that? Do you think I should get the 9015 or 9020 instead?
Also, I am curious how sensitive these new skimmers are compared to the old comline series. It seems that the DOCs can work in fluctuating sump levels? That would be excellent (although I should have a fairly consistent level once I get my litermeter hooked up). And what would be a fair estimate of cup cleaning to keep the skimmer running efficiently...daily? every other day? weekly?
And the final question...how is the current supply of these skimmers?
Thanks!
Bill
