New Dosing Unit Stand Alone

For all those who want to use our dosing pumps but don't want to invest in our ProfiLux aquarium controller:

We have now the dosing units with built-in controller!
They work independend from a ProfiLux and have the same dosing functions as the ProfiLux.

Available in about 8 weeks.

I think it is great that GHL produce their top grade accessories such as the dosing station, for those who choose not to use the main devise controller as well.

We have no prices yet for this but as soon as we do we will let the forum know.

A note on the dosing units. I've got a 4Xdoser and have been running it for just over a month, only using 3 of the dosers (calc; alk; mag).

I'm incredibly happy with it. After a few weeks of testing calc/alk/mag levels, the Profilux software and the accuracy of the dosing unit have allowed me to achieve stable water parameters without much effort.

I'm curious about the dosing algorithms, though: how on earth does the software decide when to dose? I know it's doing everything right in terms of amounts and frequency per day, but it's like living with an idiot savant: I never know when the dosing is actually going to happen...I just have to trust that it will and happen to hear it or see one of the pumps working (for a few seconds) while I'm in the fish maintenance room. For the first few weeks I didn't see it working at all, and watched the dosing reservoirs like a hawk to see if fluids levels were actually going down.

Anyway, it's been terrific. Great product.
