New Drilled Nano Build :)

I finally got the nerve to drill my 5 gallon eco-pico yesterday and begin plumbing it for a sump. I am super excited to start this little guy.

still haven't decided on whether to use an overflow box for a nano or just use a basket drain topper with a dursa....hmm. any suggestions?

Any idea what you're putting in it? Is it going to have a dedicated sump or are you plumbing it into your existing system?

I am just doing some nano corals (lps and softies) and some nano fish. Maybe trimmas etc? Not sure yet! I got an AI nano for above the tank

nice tank and goodluck with the build! My suggestion for livestock is maxi mini anemones and sexy shrimp!

I have 2 maxi minis in my larger display and 5 sexy shrimp. Love them!

Nice to hear! I have a 5.5g with two Trimmas, Ricordea, and Sexy Shrimp. The Trimma are not very active unfortunately, they mostly perch on the back of the rock where no one can see them and only move when I feed in the evening.

I agree. I would use the box just to have the surface skimming alone.

Go to Reef Culture, they have a ton of little gobies right now.

I am going to do a durso on the outside drain to keep the noise level down. Everything seems to be going smoothly so far! I did switch to a little bit larger tank (mr.aqua 7.5 gallon) because of the larger sand area can't wait to get it all set up.

very nice! I have two of mikes display tanks, and the nano sump seems like a great buy to me!
