New EPA Ozone warning

"I think I am going to set my controller on a timer so it works only at night"

I guess you would rather die peacefully in your sleep? :D

I am wondering how critical this announcement really is. If ozone is nearly as potent as this indicates, then Sharper Image and just about every other ionic air purifier manufacturer is headed for lawsuits. This new danger point also falls below the acceptable concentration in industrial areas, also setting industry up for lawsuits. I think I'll start worrying about the ozone concentration when an agency like OSHA (I am thinking they set the .1 ppm level) changes their acceptable level. I figure the harmful insecticides on fruits, that are good for you by the way, or avian bird flu will get me before ozone does. Six months from now, some other item will be the new killer. Just my 2 cents.

hahaha. I got a good laugh out of that one carrie

I am not worried about small amounts of ozone. I also wont cut back or stop using it after I have seen what my tank looks like now. The water is so clear I sometimes forget about the glass. Tonight I have learned what it smells like. It smells exactly like a copy machine.

you got to show me how to do that. I am also having an issue w/ my orp levels. It was fine a few days ago around 350-380 then it just droped to 150-180 and I can't figure out why. I hope the unit didnt break

I took everything apart to double check it and then realized the probe came out of the tank. Now with the Milwaukee probes drying them out wont ruin them like the pinpoint probes will it? I stuck it back in and shut off the ozone. Hopefully the orp did not go above 400mv. Once again I am an idiot

My Enaly Ozone generator puts out 200-300 meg/hr. This is too much for my skimmer to process. After reading Randy's thread I just don't feel comfortable. I saw some red sea generators at Bio Reef rated at 100mg/hr. I think I will go that route.
