New fish for new tank

Hey all,

I am setting up a couple of new 250G tanks & want some stocking advise with regards to QT.

How long do I need to keep them in a QT system?

Should I go ahead & treat with a copper medicine to be safe?

What kind of QT do you have?

Whoa, how many 250 gallon tanks are setting up?
The length of time varies, as does the medications that should be used.
Not all fish can handle copper. Angelfish really come to mind when thinking about not using copper. Not all fish respond to the same medications. I know many people who only use hyposalinity. IMO Medications should be a last resort.

I want a variety of clowns, tangs, & wrasses to begin with.

I treat everything with Cupramine (ich and velvet) and Prazipro (flukes and internal parasites.) In QT for 4-6 weeks (Prazipro for 10-12 days.) Every angel I have has been treated with Cupramine copper with no ill affects, as it is not as toxic as other coppers. Hypo can be done, but it is only affective for ich and there have been some reports of hypo resistant strains.
