New fish in DT.

lcs

It's Spring!!!!!!!
Today I added my percula clown and melanurus wrasse from QT. My coral beauty, who has been the alpha fish for about seven months - was definitely harassing the clown for a bit but calmed down and then proceeded to bother the wrasse. The CB was def. more aggressive with the clown, but did try to keep the wrasse in a corner, but nothing too intense.

I'm assuming some sort of intimidation is normal, but what should I be on the look out for and for how long should I let it go on?

I know I'm being a nervous Nelly, but when I added the CB back in August, the current residents did not take it well at all.

Make sure your aquarium is covered.....at the very least... temporarily... while they sort out who's boss.

Oh, it's covered! I knew I was going to have wrasses, so I made one of those mesh covers.

I turned the white lights off when I added the wrasse (I added the clown first) and then I turned them on about 10 minutes later. Mistake. Things were definitely calmer with just the blues.

The wrasse is in "bed" now and the angel has stopped bothering the clown who is at the surface in the back. Hopefully the angel won't keep him there. Although, if he does, I told my husband that I just might have to set up that nano I've been wanting to have in the dining room. ;)

clever. Never underestimate a woman
You must be married! ;) And thanks, but I'm pretty sure I read about reducing the lights somewhere on RC.

All is pretty good today. The wrasse is all over the tank today and picking at the rocks. Eating the flatworms, I hope! The angel still tries to push the him around a bit, but he stands is ground. I like the wrasse a lot; he's cool as a cucumber, just won't be pushed around. He also helped divert the angel from the clown, so that was good.

Here are a couple not so good shots I took today . . .
