new fish kaudern's cardinal

went to the local fish store been watching this fish in their small display tank for 3 weeks same fish looked great. when i got it home and put in my tank i notice that his eyes looked like it had a film on them. the next morning the right eye seemed swollen and white looking film. what is this?

Cloudy eyes can be a number of things. I'd set up a quarantine tank, and perhaps start with a FW dip, and see what happens with that.

how do you do a fw dip? sorry still learning

Well, bring some RO/DI water up to tank temperature, add a bit of bicarbonate to get the pH up, and dip the animal for up to five minutes or so. Take it out sooner if it shows signs of stress.
