New Fish Recommendation

Hi All,
I have a 40B with a 20 gallon sump mixed reef right now. Currently I have 3 fish. A Perc Clown, Purple Fire fish and blue spotted watchman goby.

I am looking for a new fish that will be more of a swimmer and be out and about like the clown and fire fish. However I am not sure about a wrasse as down the road I really want a mandarin. I have looked at lots of threads about this but I am just not sure.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks all.

get another clown to make it a pair lol could always get a yellow tang they always bring color to a reef and like to be out and about, can get a baby one

tang require a lot of swimming space and minimum of 75 g is recommended for them. take a look at some anthias....you can create a school.

make sure your tank is covered and look at wrasses. i have a melenarus and he's out all the time. my clown likes to hang out with him. he eats anything dropped in the tank. there are tons of other wrasses you can consider that won't compete with a mandarin for food.

Thanks Guys. I like the Tang, but agree that there is not enough room in my tank for one.

I really like some of the flasher wrasses but was not sure which ones won't compete with the mandarin. How can I tell which ones would be good.

And the tank is covered.....I learned that the hard way.

The only ones who wouldnt compete with the mandarin for food would probably have to mandarin for a meal unfortunatley.
