I started building this room a few weeks ago and just now decided that I would share it for others as well as use others' valuable ideas as I go. I have learned so much from this site I thought its the least I can do. I am looking for those that have done this or even those that have thought about it and there hindsight's or wish they would of's. I'm attaching couple photos of my progress so far. The tank will be a 125 gallon mixed reef which will be viewed from the adjacent living room.

That looks like a great start. I'd love to do a built-in tank/laboratory setup. One suggestion I've seen from other built-in guys is to build it with access to the front of the tank. It'll save you a lot of back and forth, when you've got your hands in it.
