New Frag Tank

Just got a JBJ 20 gal frag tank, stand & Maxspect 16k Razor Nano light. Thanks to Mike over at FB, I got this all setup just in time for a shipment of corals that came in today. I feel beat down from unbagging so much. Lol

Just need to zip tie a few cables, but that can wait for another day.

Bill - nice set up !! Super clean AIO rimless tank !! How do you like the nano maxspect light ? I was actually looking at the larger model before I bought my Radion G2 .

I read a lot of reviews and most all were really good. The only negative so far is the inability to controll each of the colors independently. The whites are configured on one channel and blues on the other. While I see it as a negative, its also a positive cause I have less to program. Other than that, that little light is rockin so far. Time will tell whether or not it does better than my Sol blues on my 180.

Sweet set up. I am looking at buying one as we speak. The dimensions of the tank are different on some of the sites verses the JBJ site. Can you measure what the dimensions are from left to right? Is it 24 or 20?

Tank itself is 23 5/8" wide x 19 1/2" deep x 9" tall. The stand I have is 24 1/8" wide x 20 1/8" deep x 27 1/4" tall.

I do like the stand. For some reason it didn't have a hole in the back to run any cables through so I had to cut one...no big deal. Looks good and matches the tank cosmetically. More storage space is always a good thing!

OK, so here's what I've changed since originally setting it up. I took out the egg crate and added black arag-live sand to the bottom. In addition, I added a little bit of live rock. Those changes not only improved the look, but has also helped biologically for the system. On the lighting, I changed the lense to a 120 degrees. That change has helped drastically for lighting coverage. As far as sps, I don't think this light would work very well. I have a few sps in it now and they haven't grown much except for my Monti cap. I think over time I'm just going to go with another AI Sol Blue. I have 3 of them on my 180 and they work great!
