New Frag Tank

I noticed a acrylic piece behind the lighting. Did the maxspect fit ok on the back? Also how did you change the optics?

That acrylic piece is the cover for the back. I did have to dremel the cover a little to allow the light to fit with the cover on. The light fits perfectly on the back. I ended up removing the cover because the ends kept curling up a little. While its no big deal, I just didn't like the look of it not lying perfectly flat.

Bad news...frag tank started leaking water from a seam somewhere late last night. Luckily I was awake still to catch it. Had to move all the frags back to my DT. Think I'm just gonna reseal the whole tank so it doesn't happen again...at least for a long time I hope. This sucks!

That doesn't surprise me. This tank has been a bit of a problem for me as well. The small overflow slots almost caused a flood a few times because if a snail is on the overflow it blocks the water and causes the water to drop in the filter compartment and then turn on the top off possibly flooding the tank.
The stand was not at all a good buy. Most of it was damaged.
You should call them and get a new tank. I wouldn't fix it. Its under warranty right?

I bought their display tank, so I highly doubt it. I already seperated all the pieces and have to say, jbj did a horrible job to begin with. Its visible where the silicone wasn't sealed correctly in a couple spots on the bottom and that's where it was leaking from. I'm going to start resealing it today in phases...the bottom first and then then back tomorrow. Using black silicone this time which I personally like better. I don't use an ato, but I can understand what you're talking about...
