New GBTA

Hey guys,

So i traded in my other bta which you guys said was bleached. I wanted to trade it out because first of all you guys said it was bleached, and because it was also very small. At another LFS, I got a new healthy GBTA. It's base is a pinkish color, as are the tentacles at the base, but the tentacles get greener and greener until the top. At the top, they truly are "green bubble tips". I will post some pics once it opens up more, probably tomorrow. I will also try to feed it half a krill tomorrow.

Thanks!

its hela sick man. the one I got is doing well also. I moved around my Anthelia and Duncan and some rock and put it in the middle of the tank. It attached on where I put it and its starting to open up a little. Should be fully open like it was at T&T in a week or two

well I got some pics. On the pics the anemone's colors look a lot lighter than they really are; I don't know why. Anyways, at the store, it was fully open @ about 6 inches or so. It's only been in the tank since the afternoon.

best pics I could get...

The color difference is due to your lighting but looks very healthy. Looks much better then the other one, you made a very good decision. : )

thanks! Yeah, it seems healthy. At the store it was kept in pretty bad lighting, but that is only because the anemone itself is only there usually for less than a week. I looked, and it was under big t-12 bulbs. Over night, my anemone moved, as I knew it would, and is now between two rocks in the back of my tank, only a bit out towards the light. It is definitely getting light right now in the back, but pretty weak light. It's probably just acclimating to the tank and the new lighting. Eventually, when it gets used to the light, should it come out more in the middle where it will get the most light, is it that smart? Will it search for light by itself, or will I have to move it if it stays back there for a long time? I'll post pics in a little...

Thanks!

The anemone is doing great, and it has even come out more and is now still kind of in the back, but it is "out". It is on a big rock pretty much in the back middle of my tank. I just fed it half a krill, and it destroyed it.
