i have a set of the first generation 6025's... these are my third sets all with the same loose shaft and/or rattling problems... i got these third set about 2 or 3 months ago... only a week in the tank, one of the pumps had a loose shaft... again... i put up with it but i had the pump off for much of that time... the other one has been without problems... until last week... it started making rattling sounds too... i haven't sent in the pumps yet because since it was my third set, i figured i'd just wait for the revision to come out... after being away from the forums for a few months, it seems like they are out now... but i was wondering how is it improved...?

The cord is a heavier gauge round cord. The shaft is now German made stainless, the hole the shaft mounts in is now a much tighter fit, the propeller magnet has a more precise diameter hole in it, a lot of the early variation has been taken out. The pump now has an added stainless steel disk between the nylon disk and drive unit. We are still working on redesigning the bracket but that is the last hurdle and easily retrofitted.
