New gig seeking shaded position?

Hello,
I recently got a 4" tan gig from my LFS and after quarantine I added it to my 14 gal cube, it still looks great, nice folded shape, tight mouth, a little bleached but it has taken up residence between two rocks where only about half of its oral disc is fully exposed to light and the rest is shaded by a cluster of glove polyps. I know gigs love bright light and my tank is lit by a Ecoxotic Panorama Pro fixture which should be plenty of light. All other params are normal. Is this normal behavior for a new nem?

Give him time ro sellt himself, one thing to learn about anemones , they have a mind of their own.. Never seam to settle where you want

Yeah, I already have all my frags on the sandbed so he can go where he pleases. I guess I'll just give him some time.

i would be concerned about it being in a 14g biocube for several reasons.

first, would be the size. i started out with aprox a 4" tan gig. in about 3 months it was aprox 10". i stopped feeding it at that point because it is apparently healthy and the size i want. that would take up most of your cube. they can potentially get a lot larger then that.

second would be stability. larger systems help keep the water more stable and gigs need stability for success, imo.

third would be flow. gigs love flow, and might be hard pressed to get decent flow in a 14g cube. imo no expert on nano flow though. lol

as far as it hiding, just need awhile to adjust to the lights. if they are dimmable, i would dim them down and gradually turn them up in power over the course of weeks.

Well it's only in the 14 until I get my 93 back in shape, after it crashed a while back and I have kept multiple nano tanks in the past so I'm used to daily top offs and keeping parameters in check. I figured I could keep in in the 14 until it outgrows it and by that time I should have the 93 up and ready for it.
