Just found a couple of small gsm clowns, male about 1" and female slightly larger. I have a small gbta but am afraid it is still too small to host. Its between 2-3" across. If it is too small, do you think if I keep them in seperate tanks that the bta will grow faster than the clowns?

Separating is a very good idea. GSMs are very hard on anemones, and would expect yours to go down hill if left together.

Given the right conditions the BTA should easily grow faster then the clowns.

Thanks for the quick response, I was really hoping that would be the case. So if I have read correctly here, most people would advise waiting til the nem is about 3x as wide as fish is long?

At least, and with a pair might want it a bit bigger.

This is a fairly old (( and bad )) picture but give an idea of a perfectly (( IMO )) sized BTA with a pair of GSM. Don't have to wait that long, but it would be ideal.

EDIT --- Just talking about the main BTA, and not the smallish clone to the left.

Great, so all I need is a lot of patience. Do anemones grow faster if you stare at them long enough? Lol. They are trying to love on my large bubble coral in the other tank. Should I be alarmed?

Yes, it has been proven that the longer you stare at them the faster they grow --- which goes against the whole watched pot of water boiling. ;)

Patiences will help a lot, and feeding it once a week (( I personally wouldn't feed it more, since that would effect the water quality ))

I wouldn't be alarmed unless the bubble coral is starting to show signs of being stressed.
