I've been watching this guy at my buddys shop the last month and decided to bring him home. After a 5 min trip from the shop to my house and a few hours acclimating he attached in about 20 seconds and after letting go of my glove I took some pics. uploadfromtaptalk1402793351178.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402793366158.jpgacclimatinguploadfromtaptalk1402793400117.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402793417556.jpguploadfromtaptalk1402793426965.jpg

Nice anemone! I suggest you divide that aquarium with light diffuser from the home center, to separate the anemone from the heater and power head.

That is haddoni. A sand dweller. It may move around when you aren't looking, it most likely wants to bury it's foot in sand. Some will add reef sand to a container so it can bury it's foot.

Looks like a great anemone to start with, tight mouth looks good.

im going to give it a few days and see how it reacts, if it starts showing signs of an infection I will be running Cipro. Didnt want to add any sand to my qt/ht, I appreciate the sugestion though. I did actually think about flipping the bowl over and filling it with sand but wanted cleanup to be as easy as possible.

If it were me, I would go ahead and acclimate to my DT.

He's very healthy. No need to treat this one.
its in dt water and I want to give it a week to make sure nothing is wrong. It's big and would hate to put it in the dt just to have it show signs of distress and crash my tank.

I do have one rainbow bta but nowhere near the area that the haddoni would be happy

These Nems can pass infection in large systems. I've hag tiny mags pass infection across my 90 gallon and get everybody sick. A bubble tip would be easy to treat. Gig and mag is different story.

I'm very careful now about what I add to DT and how long I treat and observe.

This is a very healthy anemone. I can tell this by looking at the specimen. This one would go directly into my display. No need to stress out a healthy anemone at this point.

So its been about 48 hours and im thinking about going ahead and putting it in my DT, hopefully it doeant eat my percs, wrasse or yellow eye kole

OK so I decided last night to go ahead and introduce the nem to the DT. After some rearranging of rock work and moving some coral around I placed it into the low flow corner that the clowns sleep in. It planted is foot immediately and the clowns were in it within a few hours. Woke up this morning to my black and white percs cuddled up in there new home.
