New Haddoni

I picked up a nice looking Haddoni yesterday from petco. So far it hasn't budged, but the mouth is open and the nem is definitely smaller and not as full as it was when I purchased it. I left the WP-40 off last night to make sure it could attach.

What criteria should I use to make the determination that I should put it in the qt and do cipro treatment? I have all the equipment, but the cipro won't be here until probably Wednesday.

Here are pics of it now, at about 22 hours after introduction.

Looks pretty bad at the moment. He looked decent when I left for work this am when lights were still off. Had re-inflated some and mouth was closed. Now he is back to mouth open worse than yesterday and partially deflated.

The cipro will be here tomorrow so I can start treatment as soon as I get it. I had ordered it with intentions at getting a carpet eventually, but I didn't expect to see such a decent one at a petco.

Same here.

Funny how we all are against impulse purchases, some specimens are so tough to pass up. Good luck with the him, looks gorgeous.

Cipro arrived today. Nem is now in a 10g tank and I just put in 250mg of Cipro. It had attached to the bottom of the rock so I moved the whole rock with it. I was surprised how sticky it still was, but I could tell it wasn't quite as sticky as it was when I first put it in the tank. Hopefully I will have caught it fast enough to still be able to save this guy.

Good luck! I've got a gigantea in Cipro right now. It slipped by the friction-fit eggcrate and got to my small powerhead.

Got it in a 10g and started cipro yesterday evening. So far it already seems more inflated than it was and the mouth is looking much better to me, but I've never kept one of these guys before so I really have no first hand experience.,

This was what it looked like prior to moving:

This is how it looks now, after almost 24 hours of cipro:

When they start to go downhill they will have a golf ball sized mouth opening with white innards showing and it will be pancake flat. Yours is looking good so far keep it up.

What ever happened to this nem? Did it survive? I have a similar looking green haddoni, and have been wrestling with whether to treat.
